No smoke with out fire. by CupCakeMonsterCrafts No smoke with out fire. by CupCakeMonsterCrafts
This is a Fire fox i did inspired by [link] please check out her work!! she is unbelievably talented and creative! and makes the cutest creatures!!

2 piece foam latex prosthetic (one piece is the forehead where horns attach, the other is around eyes nose and cheek area)
I sculpted the pieces myself as well as the ears and horns
ears are made of slush latex and filled with cold foam.
I made the fur cowl myself
Hand painted
Laid some black hair on chin and forehead.

Hope you enjoy ^.^

I take it the mouth doesn't move

The mouth can open and close if you touched it, and it kind of opened and closed when the model would breath hard, the mouth was sculpted over the nose

Then I believe there is possibility to make this look like it is talking. I imagine if you took a sort of stop motion approach where you had the model breath in and out slowly and you just sped up the footage you can just dub over the footage in post. But I am no expert. The prosthetic is fantastic by the way; there are no aspects of the piece that break the illusion that this is a real face. Furthermore, if the prosthetic is malleable enough around the eyebrows I can see you getting a lot of expressions from just the eyes alone. You get an A+

Wow, you could do special effects or the like -- this is amazingly detailed, with eye-catching color and texture! Is this a mask? The eye area looks too realistic for even your work, so I assume that's you in there...
Reply
:iconcupcakemonstercrafts:
No its my friend in there, its not a mask its foam latex appliance

Close enough! It's still impressive that the face under it was real, yet blended so well with the mask itself.
